Amanda Frazier, MS, LPC, NCC, PMH-C
Owner and Licensed Professional Counselor

I earned my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Syracuse University in 2014. I completed my undergraduate work at Taylor University, where I earned my BA in Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan. I am board-certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC), as well as certified by Postpartum Support International as a Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C). I am also qualified to provide supervision to limited licensed counselors.

I offer comprehensive, evidenced-based in-person counseling services for adults in Chelsea, Michigan and Washtenaw County, as well as secure telehealth services for adults anywhere within the State of Michigan. I have specialized training in perinatal mood disorders, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and in the areas of trauma and loss. I have clinical interests in working with mothers and parents who are struggling with their moods related to pregnancy and the postpartum period, infertility issues, and perinatal loss. I also have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and communication concerns. I have worked with individuals and families of all ages and from many backgrounds and belief systems.

I aim to create a safe, supportive environment in therapy by working collaboratively with patients in identifying your goals and strengths. I work to foster resilience by both working through past experiences and exploring ways to manage life’s troubles in the here-and-now. I operate with CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT-informed (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) theoretical orientations.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, exploring as many national parks as I can, reading, and creating arts and crafts. I love to adventure and be part of nature as much as possible.
